YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake, which operates five camps in the Sequoia National Forest, will launch its annual fundraising campaign with a breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 18, at Café 225 in Visalia.

The annual campaign, led by board member Larry Benevento and community campaign chair Marla Reyes, will generate funds to help regional youth attend camp who would otherwise not be able to afford it.

“The fundraising goal is $180,000, which will go not only to camperships but also to support the ongoing maintenance of the camps so that kids and families can enjoy camp for the next 100 years,” Benevento said.

Registration is now open for campers interested in youth, teen, skate or music camps, as well as Leader in Training and Counselor in Training camps. YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake is also accepting applications for prospective staff members.
