Heart of the Horse Therapy Ranch has been selected as the 2017 fundraising beneficiary of Fresno-based PINC (Philanthropy Inspired by the Needs of our Community), which since 2008 has raised $324,500 for Valley nonprofits.

Based in Clovis, Heart of the Horse Therapy Ranch provides therapeutic riding lessons for children with disabilities including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, Down syndrome and autism. Founded in 2010, Heart of the Horse provides more than 2,000 riding therapy sessions to kids each year, and also assists veterans from the Fresno VA Hospital.

“We feel so honored and blessed to be PINC’s beneficiary’s for 2017,” said Heart of the Horse Executive Director Guy Adams. ”We are so excited to see what doors this is going to open for Heart of the Horse. We’re changing lives — mind, body and soul — one ride at a time.”

PINC’s annual event will be held June 17, 2017, with a western theme called “PINC Stampede.”

“We are thrilled to continue PINC’s mission to serve the needs of our community with this year’s fundraising event benefiting Heart of the Horse,” said Diane Coderniz, current president of PINC. “Heart of the Horse is an exceptional organization changing the lives of disabled children through equine therapy.”

Last year’s beneficiary, Feed Our Future, received an $80,000 check as proceeds from PINC’s annual event.

Other past beneficiaries include Catholic Charities – Diocese of Fresno, Break the Barriers and Marjaree Mason Center.

Tickets to the event go on sale January, but for businesses or individuals interested in sponsorship opportunities or donating silent auction items can visit PincFresno.org or email sponsorship@pincfresno.org.
