The Armenian Museum of Fresno and the Fresno County Public library have partnered to host a book discussion with author William C. Rempel about his new book on Fresno native and billionaire business mogul/philanthropist Kirk Kerkorian on April 4.

Rempel, a Los Angeles Times investigative reporter, wrote “The Gambler” for readers to explore the larger-than-life personality that was Kirk Kerkorian and the trials he faced to become an aviator, movie mogul, and philanthropist who got to hang around with stars such as Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.

“The Gambler is a magical unveiling of history,” said Varoujan Der Simonian, president of the board for the museum. “The Armenian Museum of Fresno is pleased to work with Fresno County Public Library and is proud to highlight Rempel’s fascinating and important work.”

There will be a reading from the author, followed by a discussion, at the Armenian Museum of Fresno at 550 E. Shaw Ave starting at 6 p.m.

The event will be free to attend but RSVPs are recommended.

To RSVP, contact the Armenian Museum of Fresno at (559) 224-1001 or visit their website at www.armof.org.
