Martin is the owner of Flesh Skin Grafix Tattoo and Body Piercing in Imperial Beach near San Diego, and is president of the Alliance of Professional Tattooists. He has been in the industry for more than three decades and participated in multiple campaigns to raise awareness of safe tattooing and body piercing practices to college students.

He has been featured on several television shows including the 2011 Emmy-Award winning feature “Safety Stickler” by Suzanne Bartole of the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and a 2010 segment of the History Channel’s “Kill Zone” focusing on military tattoos.

Martin has also won numerous awards for his endeavors, including 2013 Instructor of the Year by the Alliance of Professional Tattooists and a 2014 award for Most Realists Tattoo and Best use of Tribal art from the National Tattoo Association.

The free lecture will begin at noon in the Old Administration Building on campus.
