Dr. Paul J. Goebel

Saint Agnes Medical Center has recognized Dr. Paul J. Goebel as their Champion in Care for 2018.

Established in 2009, the award is given to a Saint Agnes physician who demonstrates team spirit and a desire to work collaboratively with Saint Agnes nurses and clinical. Dr. Goebel was presented with the award by members of the Saint Agnes leadership team at an April 7 presentation at Warnors Theatre in downtown Fresno.

“Dr. Goebel’s selfless dedication to his patients and their personal experience at Saint Agnes Medical Center goes unmatched,” wrote a colleague in the nomination letter. “His commitment to the patient’s needs are unwavering. He is always fully present and dedicated a generous amount of time with his patients—building a rapport and understanding of their personal, emotional and spiritual needs, as well as their goals and expectations as it relates to their plan of care.”

Specializing in internal medicine, Dr. Goebel has served as a hospitalist for Saint Agnes since 1998. Nurses and colleagues have praised him for his enthusiasm and communications skills, as well as his compassionate care.
