Terry’s House, a nonprofit temporary residence for families of Community Regional Medical Center patients, celebrated its 15th anniversary on Tuesday, welcoming team members, families and donors who have utilized and supported the nonprofit, home-away-from-home throughout the years.
Terry’s House, located just across the street from Community Regional Medical Center in Downtown Fresno, has served families of critically ill or injured patients at Community since its founding in 2011. Terry’s House has served over 10,000 families from all 50 states and 34 countries.
The 20-room, two-story, 17,500-square-foot facility has 20 rooms and is funded solely on donations, relying on public donations to operate. This year, the house received its largest-ever gift — a $2.5 million donation from an anonymous donor earmarked for upkeep and operations at Terry’s House.
Guests at Terry’s House have long praised the house for its integral work in maintaining close contact and family connection during their hospital stays; guests stay free of charge.
Additional information about Terry’s House is available on the Community Medical website or by phone at (559) 724-4343.
Donations to Terry’s House, including Amazon Wish List items, personal care items, food and monetary donations are accepted through Community Medical’s website.
