Roseanne Barr has canceled her appearance at The Big Fresno Fair.

A quote from the controversial comedian’s publicist first acquired by ABC30 cited a scheduling conflict between the October appearance at the Paul Paul Theater and a Jewish holy day.

“Due to scheduling issues, Roseanne Barr will not be able to perform at The Big Fresno Fair on October 8, 2019. The performance date falls on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year in Judaism, which was inadvertently missed when scheduling the show. She was very much looking forward to the performance and is grateful to her fans who purchased tickets to come see her return to the stage. Roseanne hopes it can be rescheduled in the future,” the statement read.

The Big Fresno Fair website no longer has a link for tickets to the event.
Beginning on July 28, refunds will be available for those who have already purchased tickets, according to a fair official. Admission tickets purchased with the event are still valid.
