A new tool designed and created in Fresno is being sought in markets across the country and over the Internet.

Licensed last year, the Clean and Clear 360 was designed by Paula Reinhardt, a local inventor and constructed by her husband, Matt.

“So I had my big box of prototypes, I’m working on different ones, I’m vacuuming – I’m a ‘vacuum-holic,’ I vacuum every day – and the debris gets stuck up into the cylinder base,” Reinhardt said. “And even though you open it, it still gets stuck.”

Paula’s solution was a brush and a hooked handle designed to scoop debris out of a cyclone-cylinder vacuum. Eventually, Reinhardt was able to successfully pitch the product to Malish Corp. of Mentor, Ohio. According to her, the product has recently been taking off and making its mark, with Malish in talks with the Home Shopping Network. They also hope to have the product on Amazon.com by the end of the month.

“But I know that that’s going to be part of the big box [stores] – Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target – all those,” she said. “They’re after it right now.”

Reinhardt will also be debuting her product at Fresno Ag Hardware at 11 a.m. Saturday.
