Veterans have a chance to float away some stress as a thank you from a local business.

True Rest Float Spa in Fresno is honoring veterans by providing free float therapy sessions to active-duty military members, reservists, and veterans Friday for Veterans Day.

Float therapy is a therapeutic practice where one floats in a sensory-free, zero-gravity pod. The water is mixed with Epsom salts, creating a relaxing atmosphere that helps reduce stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, inflammation and chronic pain, according to those who have tried it.

“True REST Float Spa is committed to providing veteran-friendly float therapy services. We know that float therapy can be a beneficial way to improve mental and physical health, and we are honored to provide this therapy to those who have fought for our country,” said Mandy Rowe, president of True REST Float Spa. “Our franchisees believe in the science of float therapy and are passionate about helping veterans feel great. We look forward to seeing everyone at the spas on Veterans Day and are continuously proud to offer this unique service year-round.”

The True Rest Float Spa chain is closing all of its 41 locations across the country to the general public.

Each location will only be available to military members who book an appointment on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests will need to call ahead to book a session and will be required to present their military ID or DD Form 214.

True REST Float Spa supports the military community year round by partnering with veteran support organizations. It offers active-duty service members free float sessions every 11th day of the month.

“We are honored to gift this opportunity to those great service men and women who have sacrificed so much. We would like to express our immense gratitude to each and everyone of them and we hope to fill our spa with these amazing and deserving individuals on November 11th for 60 minutes of relaxation, healing, rejuvenation, and so much more,” said Mike Easton, owner of True REST Fresno, alongside his wife, Britney.

True REST Float Spa in Fresno is located on Champlain Drive and Perrin Avenue.
