According to the latest report from CoreLogic, the rate of Fresno area foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 0.54 percent for May, a decrease of 0.13 percentage points compared with May 2015.
Foreclosure activity in Fresno was lower than the national foreclosure rate, which was 1 percent for May 2016, according to CoreLogic.
Also in Fresno, the mortgage delinquency rate decreased in May, with 2 percent of mortgage loans 90 days or more delinquent compared with 2.38 percent for the same period last year.
Madera area foreclosures also dropped in May, with just .60 percent of mortgage loans delinquent, a decrease of 0.25 percentage points compared with May 2015. The mortgage delinquency rate also decreased in Madera in May 2016, with 2.32 percent of mortgage loans 90 days or more delinquent compared with 2.92 percent for the same period last year.
Hanford-Corcoran area foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 0.69 percent for May, a decrease of 0.15 percentage points. Also in Hanford-Corcoran, the mortgage delinquency rate decreased in May, with 2.56 percent of mortgage loans 90 days or more delinquent compared with 3.22 percent for the same period last year.
And the rate of Visalia-Porterville area foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 0.58 percent for May, a decrease of 0.17 percentage points compared with May 2015. The Visalia-Porterville mortgage delinquency rate also decreased, with 2.24 percent of mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent compared with 2.62 percent for the same period last year.
