New data released today by CoreLogic shows the rate of Fresno area foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 0.61 percent for January 2016, a decrease of 0.16 percentage points compared with January 2015.


Foreclosure activity in Fresno was lower than the national foreclosure rate, which was 1.15 percent for January 2016.

Also in Fresno, the mortgage delinquency rate decreased during January 2016, with 2.35 percent of mortgage loans 90 days or more delinquent compared with 2.76 percent for the same period last year.

The Visalia-Porterville area foreclosure rate among outstanding mortgage loans was 0.68 percent for January 2016, a decrease of 0.18 percentage points compared with January 2015.

According to CoreLogic mortgage delinquency rate in the Visalia-Porterville area also decreased in the first month of the year, with 2.54 percent of mortgage loans 90 days or more delinquent compared with 3.10 percent for the same period in 2015.

The downward trend was also evident in the Madera area, where foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 0.71 percent for January 2016, a decrease of 0.27 percentage points compared with January 2015 reports CoreLogic

The Madera mortgage delinquency rate showed that for January 2016, 2.64 percent of mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent compared with 3.20 percent for the same period last year.

The rate of Hanford-Corcoran area foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 0.71 percent for January 2016, a decrease of 0.30 percentage points compared with January 2015.

The mortgage delinquency rate also decreased in the Hanford-Corcoran area during January 2016, with 3 percent of mortgage loans 90 days or more delinquent compared with 3.51 percent for the same period in 2015.
