Business Journal readers overwhelmingly said voters — rather than elected officials — should have the final say on a replacement for Measure C, Fresno County’s half-cent transportation tax.

About 71% of respondents said voters should decide the future of the tax, while 24% said elected officials should control the process. Another 5% were unsure.

The poll asked readers for their opinion before voters were given the final say on a Measure C replacement. As the print poll noted, that outcome came this week, though litigation has been launched.
