Tangram Interiors and Kimball International are bringing back their superhero cape campaign for Valley Children’s Healthcare this Halloween, again inviting local businesses and community partners to create capes for pediatric patients.

The initiative, launched last year, asks participants to design handcrafted superhero capes meant to uplift and empower children undergoing treatment at the hospital. The campaign had a successful inaugural year, with more than 80 local businesses, schools and community partners participating in 2025.

Last year, 74 decorated capes were delivered to Valley Children’s patients.

This year, participating businesses are once again decorating capes using supplied kits. Participants were encouraged to showcase their creativity through colorful materials, imaginative designs and Halloween spirit.

An appreciation and completed cape drop off event is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m. to noon at Tangram Interiors, 7700 N. Palm Ave., Suite 110, in Fresno.

Each completed cape will be gifted to a child at Valley Children’s, continuing a Halloween tradition aimed at bringing confidence, courage and joy to young patients.
