A sponsorship deal between a fast-growing sandwich shop and Fresno State will bring another vendor to sports events as well as appearances by the corporation’s executive to the campus.

Ike’s Love and Sandwiches announced this week a partnership with the college through the 2019-20 school year that will bring the sandwiches, samples and even free T-shirts to football games. The sponsorship amount was not disclosed.

“We are excited to bring our amazing sandwiches to the Dog Pound as a sponsor this year,” said Renae Scott, Chief Marketing Officer for Ike’s.  “Fresno State’s unparalleled school spirit, athletics and academics are collectively the crown jewel of California’s Central Valley. Together, we’re making sandwiches a key part of every Bulldog’s diet.”

Additionally, founder Ike Shehadeh will make multiple appearances throughout the school year, the first being Oct. 17 when he and Time Out, the Bulldog mascot, will visit the campus  to handout free samples as well as at 786 W. Paladin Dr. and 3071 E. Campus Pointe Dr.

At the Oct. 18 game against University of Nevada Las Vegas, there will also be a table for the sandwich shop with free merchandise and coupons. They will also be tossing T-shirts into the crowd.

Ike’s started in 2007 as Ike’s Place in San Francisco. The location at Palmdon Avenue opened February followed by a May opening for the location at Campus Pointe.
