The Central California Blood Center will join with the Clovis Rodeo Association for the 24th time at its annual Rodeo Blood Drive.
With recent blood supply shortages in the Valley, Central California Blood Center CEO Christine Hayes said the event is the perfect opportunity for locals to give back to the community.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Clovis Rodeo Association for their longstanding support of our mission,” said Christine Hayes, CEO of the Central California Blood Center. “This event continues to showcase the generosity of our community, and we are excited to be part of the Rodeo once again, ensuring local patients receive the life-saving blood they need.”
Interested donors are encouraged to eat a full meal and hydrate at least two to three hours before donating. Donors will be required to show a photo ID, with all donors receiving a free Rodeo Blood Drive T-shirt while supplies last.
“The Clovis Rodeo has always been about community, and this event allows us to come together to support a vital cause,” said Clovis Rodeo Association President Clancy Wardle. “We encourage everyone to join us in donating blood and make a difference in the lives of those in need.”
The blood drive will precede the rodeo on Monday, April 21 and Tuesday, April 22 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Clovis Rodeo Hall. Donors can sign up in advance online.
The 111th annual Clovis Rodeo kicks off Wednesday, April 23 and runs through Sunday, April 27.
