Madera County will be the place to go in the New Year for special dining deals.

January is tourism organization Visit California’s restaurant month, and eateries from Madera to Bass Lake have their own delicacies to show off their Central Valley culinary chops.

“While our bears are hibernating for the winter in the Yosemite region, our locals and visitors head for the many incredible dining establishments to warm up on chilly days,” remarked Rhonda Salisbury, CEO of Visit Yosemite | Madera County. “Here farm-to-fork isn’t just a catchphrase. Figs, almonds, cheeses, honey, and oranges are just a few of the incredible ingredients at the fingertips of our restaurateurs. Madera County’s agriculture industry literary provides delicious food to the entire world.”

Eight restaurants and breweries have special deals.

Elderberry House Restaurant
Just off of Highway 41 in Oakhurst, the French-Californian luxury restaurant and chateau is offering a three-course meal for $48 per person. It comes with a soup or salad, a main course and dessert. Guests are also given a signature glass of “Sureau” sparkling wine. The restaurant encourages reservations. Dinner is from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Elderberry House is at 48688 Victoria Ln, Oakhurst.

Ducey’s on the Lake
Just a bit further up the road at Bass Lake, Ducey’s is offering a three-course dinner of salad, Harris Ranch Filet Mignon and dessert with a glass of house wine for $30. 54432 Rd 432, Bass Lake. Dinner goes from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. They encourage reservations.

The Vineyard Restaurant and Bar
Foodies can visit the four-decade old restaurant at 605 S I St. in Madera. Chef Ian Cookson is offering a winter special of chicken pot pie and local vegetables, salad and dessert for $21 per person. The Vineyard is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Love Cafe
For those going green, the vegan breakfast and lunch spot is offering a seasonal coffee drink as well as a discount on their famous smoothie. Love Cafe is located at 39993 CA-41 in Oakhurst. It is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mountain Room Restaurant
After a day of hiking and exploring, the restaurant in the Yosemite Valley Lodge is offering a three-course meal for $45. Dinner is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

South Gate Brewing Co.
Oakhurst’s own tap house put out a lager-style beer especially for Restaurant Month called the James Blonde IPL. South Gate is located at 40233 Enterprise Dr. in Oakhurst and is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Oakhurst Grill and Whiskey 41 Lounge
The hotel and restaurant has a winter special of steak and cheese soup to accompany the over 90 whiskey varieties available. Oakhurst Grill is located at the Best Western on 40530 Highway 41 in Oakhurst. Dinner is served 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
