Rep. David Valadao (R-Hanford) has been recognized by the American Life Sciences Innovation Council (ALSIC) with the 2018 Champion of Health Care Innovation Award.

“I am proud of my work advancing health care policy in Congress,” Valadao said. “America is the greatest medical innovator in the world and it is imperative we continue our work finding cures and improving treatments for fatal and debilitating diseases.

Presented by ALSIC in conjunction with the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the California Hepatitis C Task Force, the International Association of Hepatitis Task Forces, the International Cancer Advocacy network, and the California Biotech Foundation, the Champion of Health Care Innovation Award recognizes Rep. Valadao’s efforts in Congress and in California to protect and nurture the important policies that position America as the world’s leading force in the innovative life sciences.

Valadao was honored with the award Friday.
