Fresno’s One Putt Broadcasting announced that Kevin O’Rorke has been named vice president, general manager effective Oct. 8. O’Rorke will have responsibility over all business operations. He has more than 30 years of local broadcast experience, most recently as the market manager for Lotus Broadcasting, a company with 35 stations throughout the United States.He has also been involved in a number of non-profit organizations, including The First Tee, where he served as board chair for several years.

The board of directors of White Ash Broadcasting has named Joe Moore as Valley Public Radio’s new president and general manager. Moore has been serving as interim president since the spring, following the death of longtime President & GM Mariam Stepanian. In 2010, Moore was hired as Valley Public Radio’s director of program content. In that role, he helped develop the station’s award-winning local news department, and accelerated the station’s adoption of new technologies from a new content management system to the KVPR mobile app.

WEALTH MANAGEMENT

Ford Financial Group is pleased to announce that Steve Jolly has partnered with the firm as a wealth advisor, after more than 30 years as an employee of several local financial service firms. He will be joined by Michelle Diaz, who has worked as a Client Services Associate with Steve for decades. Founded in 1992, The Ford Financial group is a large independent financial consulting firm based in Fresno, and provides personalized retirement planning and wealth management services.

HEALTH CARE

Visalia-based Family HealthCare Network has added to its network of providers: Ronald Brown, a graduate of Portland State University, will practice behavioral health at the Hanford Health Center; Alex Duong, a graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, will be a dentist at the Visalia School Health Center; and Rebecca Murphy, who served a residency at UC San Francisco in Fresno, will practice obstetrics and gynecology at the Visalia Oak Health Center.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Fresno County Economic Development Corporation won a Gold Excellence in Economic Development Award for its New Employment Opportunities (NEO) Expanded Subsidized Employment, a project in the category of Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) Program of 3 Years or More of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). The honor was presented at an awards ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 2, during the IEDC Annual Conference, which was held September 29 — October 3, in Atlanta, Georgia.
