Gold Arrow Camp owner and director Audrey Monke of Clovis was recently named a 2016 national service award recipient by the American Camp Association (ACA) for her work within the industry.

Monke was among six camp leaders to receive the award this year and was selected based on her volunteer efforts and contributions to the industry group’s national conference and Camping Magazine.

Award winners will be recognized during the ACA National Conference Feb. 9-12 in Atlanta. The annual event brings together some of the nation’s top youth development experts for conversations and educational sessions.

Gold Arrow Camp has roots in the community dating back to 1933. The company currently operates summer programs for boys and girls ages 6-14, offering activities like wake boarding, horseback riding and rock climbing against the backdrop of the nearby Sierra National Forest.
