Grizzly Fest and the Downtown partnership are gearing up for their first ever “Fresno Cares” event to help local nonprofits — and they’ll be joined by a Valley boxing great.

Scheduled for Nov. 16 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Cultural Arts District Park in Downtown Fresno, the event will benefit 15 organizations, including: East Fresno Rotary; the Poverello House; the Central California Blood Center; the Central California Food Bank; and the Marjaree Mason Center.

World Boxing Council and World Boxing Organization World Champion Jose Ramirez will also be attending, and will be donating 200 turkeys along with Western Pioneer Real Estate on behalf of the Food Bank.

Food trucks will also be on site, and will donate proceeds to the various nonprofits.

A live concert will also be held.
