Fresno-based Xobee Networks has been acquired by New York-based technology company Brite, giving the managed IT and cybersecurity provider a significant presence on the West Coast.

Brite announced the acquisition Tuesday, Nov. 3. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1996 by Eric Rawn, Xobee provides managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud computing and communications services. The company employs approximately 100 people and serves more than 1,700 customers across 34 states, according to former owner O2 Investment Partners.

Xobee had been backed by O2 since January 2022. During that period, it completed six acquisitions, expanding its customer base, geographic reach and technology services.

“Xobee shares our belief that effective IT management and strong cybersecurity go hand in hand,” said Justin Smith, CEO of Brite.

The acquisition expands Brite’s operations to the West Coast while providing customers of both companies access to additional technical resources and cybersecurity services.

The combined company will offer services including managed detection and response, security monitoring, compliance support, backup and disaster recovery.

Rawn said the acquisition represents an opportunity to continue Xobee’s growth with additional resources and operational support.

Brite is backed by Sole Source Capital LLC, a Dallas-based private equity firm that acquired Brite in January 2026. The Xobee acquisition represents Sole Source Capital’s second investment in the managed services sector.

Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Victor, New York, Brite provides IT services, cybersecurity and public safety technology solutions nationwide.

The companies have not announced whether the acquisition will result in changes to Xobee’s Fresno operations, staffing or branding.
