The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is hosting a half-day online PR boot camp on March 31 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Aimed at elevating public relation skills and strategies, the event will provide attendees with practical skills and strategies to boost the effectiveness of external communication. The event is aimed at nonprofit organizations with the goal of helping them engage the right audience, raise awareness, increase fundraising effectiveness and attract more volunteers.

Public relations consultants Jill Wagner and Tanya Osegueda will present the workshop, with each  bringing experience from managerial perspectives in the PR sector.

The event will help attendees with creating a basic public relations plan, targeting audiences, developing brand and voice, selecting the right tools and more.

Registration costs $10, and is being offered at a reduced price as a “way for PRSA Central CA to give back to our region,” according to a news release. PRSA hopes the nominal fee will reflect the organization’s willingness to give back to the community they serve.

Those interested in attending can find the link to purchase tickets under the “events” link at the PRSA website.
