Fresno-based Full Circle Brewing Co. will release a specially crafted “Black is Beautiful” beer this week with all proceeds going to two nonprofits.

The Fresno Metro Black Chamber of Commerce and INROADS, a nonprofit organization aiming to promote more ethnic diversity in corporate America, will be the nonprofit recipients of the effort, which is part of the Black is Beautiful Initiative.

The Black is Beautiful Initiative is a collaborative effort of more than 1,000 breweries in 20 countries dedicated to bringing awareness to the injustices faced by people of color each day, according to a news release.

Full Circle Brewing is releasing the “Black is Beautiful” beer for pick up at its brewery in Downtown Fresno on Friday.

The Black is Beautiful Initiative is being led by Texas-based Weathered Souls Brewing Co., which designed the beer’s label and posted the recipe to be followed by the breweries for the “Black is Beautiful” Imperial Stout.

“We are a majority Black-owned business with one of the most diverse staff you will find in the craft beer industry… we are part of the change. But we, like so many others, can do more. We hope that people can see through the RED HERRINGS — a logical fallacy that misleads or distracts from a relevant or important question. Lets keep the focus on justice, equality and obtaining ‘unalienable rights’… for all,” stated Full Circle Brewing CEO Arthur Moye in a press release.
