A galaxy far, far away will be a little bit closer this Friday and Saturday when Nissan of Visalia will host a free virtual reality tour of the Star Wars Universe at its showroom on Ben Maddox Way.
“Star Wars: Droid Repair Bay” is an official virtual reality experience of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Guests will don virtual reality headsets and be transported onto a spaceship featured in movie, which grossed $1.7 billion in 2017. Participants will get to repair droids and fight alongside rebels in an 8-minute immersive experience that will only be available at Groppetti-owned dealerships in Visalia and South County Nissan in Gilroy.
The experience is free, though organizers warn that the VR headsets are adult-sized and many not fit on smaller children.
Up for grabs will also be a limited edition helmet from the popular franchise for participants via a text-to-win entry.
The event will take place on Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.
