The Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation has recognized Bank of America as its 2016 Corporation of the Year.

The honor was awarded today during the foundation’s State of the City for Economic Development event in Fresno.

“We are very grateful for the support that Bank of America gives to small businesses through our organization. It is a great honor to present them with this award,” said Dora Westerlund, CEO of the foundation.

For more than a decade, Bank of America has supported the foundation’s programs and services that provide technical assistance to new and existing businesses.

“At Bank of America we remain focused on our purpose, which is to make financial lives better through the power of every connection — for our customers and clients, and for the communities we serve. As we strive to fulfill this purpose, our local team is very thankful for our longstanding partnership with Dora Westerlund and the team at the Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation, and we look forward to the opportunities ahead,” said Mark Riley, market president of the Fresno Bank of America team.
