HGTV’s interactive “Santa HQ” holiday experience has been expanded to five new U.S. malls owned by Macerich, including Fashion Fair.
Santa HQ bills itself as a “21st century immersive journey” that includes the classic photo with Santa Claus, but also an “Elfie selfie” that allows guests to star in their own holiday video, “Elf-Ray Vision” to explore Santa’s Observatory, a “Naughty or Nice O’Meter” and a 10,000-light synchronized show to the tune Carol of the Bells.
“With the addition of five new locations this year, Santa HQ will give thousands more HGTV fans the opportunity to be wowed by this one-of-a-kind Santa experience,” said Shannon Driver, senior vice president, marketing and creative services, for Scripps Networks Interactive, parent company of HGTV. “Our hope is that Santa HQ will continue to add even more wonder to the holiday season for children and their families.”
Santa HQ launches at Fashion Fair on Nov. 4, and runs seven days a week through Dec. 24 (closed Thanksgiving Day).
