The California High-Speed Rail Authority announced that the intersection of Tulare and F streets in downtown Fresno is closed this week for construction activity.

Work began Monday, and the closure is expected to last through Friday. The intersection is closed for repaving work, and lane closure and detour signage will be in place to redirect traffic.

The work is part of design-build contractor Tutor-Perini/Zachry/Parsons’ Construction Package 1, the first 32-mile stretch of high-speed rail between Avenue 19 in Madera to East American Avenue in Fresno County.
