Central Valley foreclosure and mortgage delinquency rates continued their downward trend in February, according to the latest data from real estate information firm CoreLogic.

In Fresno, 4.5 percent of mortgages were delinquent by at least 30 days in February, compared to 5 percent the year prior. The seriously delinquent rate (90-plus days past due) was 1.5 percent in February, also down from 1.9 percent the year prior.

Fresno’s foreclosure inventory rate for February was 0.4 percent compared to 0.6 percent a year earlier.

In the Hanford-Corcoran area, 5.3 percent of mortgages were delinquent in February, down from 5.4 percent in February 2016. The serious delinquency rate was 1.8 percent in February, down from 2.3 percent the year prior.

Hanford-Corcoran’s foreclosure inventory rate in February was 0.4 percent, compared to 0.7 percent the year prior.

Madera’s mortgage delinquency rate was 4.7 percent in February, down from 5 percent in February 2016. The serious delinquency rate was 1.6 percent in February, down from 2 percent the year prior.

The foreclosure inventory rate in Madera was 0.4 percent in February, also down from 0.6 percent the year prior.

Visalia-Porterville’s delinquency rate was 5.2 percent in February, down from 5.5 percent the year prior. The serious delinquency rate was 1.6 percent that month, compared to 2.1 percent in February 2016.

The foreclosure inventory rate for February was 0.4 percent, down from 0.6 percent a year earlier.

The national foreclosure rate in February was 5 percent, down from 5.5 percent the year prior. The serious delinquency rate (90-plus days past due) in February was 2.2 percent, down from 2.8 percent the year prior.

The national foreclosure inventory rate was 0.8 percent in February, down from 1.1 percent in February 2016.
