The newly established Downtown Fitness Center, formerly known as YMCA, is bringing back a much-needed fitness center to Downtown Fresno, with Phase One to be complete by the end of December.

The Boys2MenGirls2Women Foundation is hosting a kickoff event for the center Thursday to support the $500,000 revitalization campaign. The free event will feature a Christmas toy giveaway in addition to providing an opportunity for donors to give.

The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in front of the old YMCA located at 1408 N Street in Downtown Fresno.

Donors are encouraged to come in and see the five phase plan for the Downtown Fitness Center. New members are encouraged to sign up for the 30/30 plan, $30 down and $30 a month to the restoration project.
