What do a few F-bombs, a monkey’s butt, stacks of cash and a lion have in common? It’s all in the latest commercial for a local company using a bit of swagger to attract sales applicants.
Chowchilla-based Golden Memorial Insurance Services is no stranger to bold advertising campaigns. Back in 2018, they hired actor Lou Diamond Phillips as a spokesperson. Along the way, they became the largest final expense insurance agency in the nation with $50 million in annualized premiums in 2020.
Their latest commercial titled “The King of Final Expense” features President Ray Barragan Jr. making a hard pitch for sales agents to join the company. But this isn’t your average recruitment video, which becomes apparent less than 10 seconds in.
Golden Memorial Insurance Services is represented by Fresno-based marketing firm Prem PR & Social, with CEO Marilyn Cowley even making a cameo in the latest commercial.
