A ribbon-cutting is planned this week for Maravillosa, a 142-unit luxury, senior apartment community at Fresno’s Campus Pointe development.

The project — described as “Urban-Infill, high density, mixed-use, cutting-edge, market rate” in a news release from developer Lance-Kashian & Co. — is the fourth of five phases in the 45-acre Campus Pointe development that includes 983 student housing units, 144 workforce housing units, shopping center, dining, movie theater and more.

The groundbreaking is scheduled for Wednesday at 11 a.m. at 3090 E. Campus Pointe Dr. Scheduled speakers include California Treasurer Fiona Ma, Sen. Andreas Borgeas, Sen. Anna Caballero, Assemblymember Jim Patterson and Fresno City Councilmember Tyler Maxwell, according to the release.

Maravillosa includes six floor plans with one- and two-bedroom layouts.

“We are excited to complete an active-adult living complex for Fresno. This public/private partnership with Fresno State, located at Campus Pointe, is bound for greatness. With so much to do just footsteps away… movies, FSU classes, getting together with a friend for coffee or dinner all at the Square…who wouldn’t want live there.” said Tracy Kashian, public relations for Campus Pointe.
