The Hanford Winter Wonderland returns for its fifth time this weekend, with new and classic attractions for families and anyone in the festive spirit to enjoy.

Hanford Winter Wonderland transforms the space in front of the Civic Auditorium into a winter landscape, complete with an ice-skating rink, carousel, vendor village and space for children’s and family activities.

Last year’s event drew 92,000 visits during its seven-week operating period, with organizers working behind the scenes to make this year’s event even more spectacular.

This year will include new attractions including Princess Breakfast & Skate on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., a Superhero Breakfast on Sunday, Dec. 14 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., and Storytime with Santa on Tuesday, Dec. 23 from 6 to 7 p.m.

“We have a few other surprises to delight children of all ages,” said Hanford Parks and Community Services Director Brad Albert. “We invite the entire Central Valley to create lasting holiday memories with us and experience the magic of the holiday season at Hanford Winter Wonderland.”

A ceremonial tree lighting will take place this Saturday, Nov. 22, at 6 p.m.

The Hanford Winter Wonderland website provides additional information about attractions and events, and also offers ice rink rentals, the North Pole Lounge and the new Polar Lounge for seasonal parties. The website also includes an event calendar.

The Hanford Winter Wonderland will operate this Saturday through Saturday, Jan. 11. Additional information can be found at the event website, or on its Facebook and Instagram pages.
