The Central Valley’s first Dunkin’ Donuts location finally has an opening date — March 8.

The location at the Hanford mall will open at 5 a.m. that day, and grand opening festivities will include a ribbon cutting, food and beverage samples and giveaways, including a $100 gift card for the first person in line.

The new restaurant will be open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week, and employ about 75 crew members. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen television and a drive-thru.

Madison Food Management, LLC, is the Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee for the new restaurant in Hanford and currently operates four Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Southern California, with plans to open a total of 37 stores statewide.

“We are proud to introduce Dunkin’ Donuts to the Central Valley,” said Aharon Aminpour, president of Madison Food Management. “As one of the world’s leading coffee and bakery brands, it has become a favorite for people across the country, and we hope it will become a favorite for Hanford residents too. We look forward to keeping the Central Valley running on Dunkin’.”

It was back in mid-2015 when Dunkin’ Donuts announced plans to open 17 new restaurants in the Central Valley, including locations in Fresno, Clovis, Visalia and Tulare, creating nearly 1,000 jobs.

The new restaurant is part of a drive by Southern California-based Passco Companies, LLC, to revamp the Hanford Mall. New eateries locating there include Buffalo Wild Wings, Five Guys and Pieology.

The closest Dunkin’ Donuts locations are in Modesto to the north and Barstow to the south.

The Massachusetts-based chain has more than 12,200 restaurants in 45 countries.
