The board of directors for ValleyPBS has voted to end CEO Jenny Toste’s contract with the station, resulting in her departure just seven months after taking the job.

According to a press release from the station, the decision came last Friday, though no reasons were given as to why she would be leaving.

“On behalf of the ValleyPBS Board of Directors, we would like to thank Jenny Toste for her passion for the station over the past seven months,” said Karen Musson, board chair. “Our amazing staff will continue to execute the operations of the station in our service to the Valley.”

A message left for Musson wasn’t immediately returned.

Toste previously worked as a reporter and an anchor at KSEE24 and CBS47 in Fresno. She is also regional EMMY Award-winner, and has worked with ABC News’ “Good Morning America.”

Toste was the fourth CEO to work for ValleyPBS
