Visalia-area wedding venue Koetsier Ranch has been purchased by another South Valley group that now includes a trio of event venues.

Venue management and consulting firm Naxon Group and Visalia-based Revel Venues made the announcement Monday.

With the purchase — the terms of which were not disclosed — Koetsier Ranch is now known as Watermill Grove.

The 80-acre Koetsier Ranch was previously listed on loopnet.com with a list price of just under $4 million.

“Koetsier Ranch has a rich tradition in the community as a place for life celebrations and we’re honored to be able to continue that history for the property,” said Sam Ramirez, founder of The Naxon Group and Revel Venues, in a statement.

Upon retirement, husband-and-wife owners Brenda and Henry Koetsier wanted to leave the ranch in capable hands that would value it as they did for 20 years, according to a news release.

“Although it’s tough to move on, we are thankful for all those couples and families who celebrated at our ranch and know that Sam and his team will continue what we started,” said Henry Koetsier.

Along with the rebranding, renovations will take place in the coming month to include an updated covered pavilion with chandeliers for receptions, an indoor space with a bar, a 3-bedroom house available for guests to stay on the property along with event suites for couples to get ready in.

“This venue will offer something not many in the valley can. In addition to full-day rentals, we’ll have packages available to welcome you to the property on Friday, host your rehearsal and dinner, your reception Saturday and even a send-off brunch on Sunday before checking out from the property,” said Ramirez.

The acquisition of Koetsier Ranch adds to the Revel Venues portfolio, which includes Bello Vita Venue and the Woodlands — both in northwest Visalia.

“Our goal with Revel Venues is to serve as a collection of unique spaces for those in the valley that fits their needs while delivering a consistent service and product experience while creating incredible memories,” said Ramirez.

Watermill Grove will begin hosting events in December with plans for a grand opening and open house in February 2023. The grand opening will include giveaways and tours of the renovated venue, which will be styled to give guests an idea of how the space can be customized. Craft drinks and food will be provided by catering partners and the hospitality team.
