Ricchiuti Family Farms would like to introduce you to its Italian cousin this holiday season.

Ricchiuti Family Farms released its 2013 vintage of its award-winning red wine, “My Italian Cousin – Eugenio,” a blend of 85 percent Cabernet Sauvignon and 15 percent Zinfandel that comes from the Napa Valley appellation.

Vincent Ricchiuti, representing the fourth generation of Ricchiuti Family Farms, joined lifelong friend and Napa Valley Winemaker Massimo Monticelli in crafting My Italian Cousin – Eugenio.

Monticelli, himself a fourth generation winemaker, learned the family’s craft from his father, who has been making wine in California for more than 40 years. Monticelli received degrees in chemistry and biology at the University of California at Irvine before earning his Master’s in enology and viticulture at UC Davis.

“We’re very excited to work with Massimo to produce this premium Napa Valley wine,” said Ricchiuti. “My Italian Cousin – Eugenio is inspired by family heritage and a true passion to produce exceptional wine.”

My Italian Cousin – Eugenio has received numerous awards, including a Gold at North of the Gate Wine Competition, Silver Medal at the 2016 New York International Wine Competition, Silver at the 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, and the People’s Choice Award at the 2016 San Joaquin Valley Wine Competition.

It is available for purchase at Enzo’s Table, Same’s Italian Deli and Sierra Nut House, and is on the wine list at The Annex Kitchen.
