There have been a lot of eyes on Rep. David Valadao (R-Hanford)in the last few weeks to see how he would vote on repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act.

With the House of Representatives today passing the legislation, observers have their answer.

Valadao voted in favor of the measure Thursday. Soon after the vote, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) released a statement praising Valadao.

“While Democrats fight desperately to keep the failed status quo in place, David Valadao is moving forward with a plan to improve access to healthcare and lower costs for California families,” said Jack Pandol, western regional press secretary for the NRCC. We thank Valadao for keeping his promise to protect families in his district from Obamacare’s crushing effects.”

The reaction on social media was swift, as observers noted that every California Republican voted for the measure, listing the names of fellow Reps. Jeff Denham, Tom McClintock, Devin Nunes and Kevin McCarthy under the heading “California Wall of Shame.”
