A longtime Fresno company has added electric trucks to its operating fleet.

Producers Dairy will be the first in the region to deploy two Volvo VNR Electric Trucks in its fleet. They were unveiled today at an event in Fresno.

The deployment of the electric trucks for the local dairy company will be supported by AMPLY Power, an electric vehicle charging infrastructure and energy management provider based in Mountain View.

AMPLY Power managed the design and installation of the charging infrastructure at Producer’s Fresno facility—two 150 Kw DC fast chargers, and capacity for future expansion. It will also provide ongoing service to Producers through its OMEGA platform, keeping charging costs low while securing vehicle uptime and readiness, according to a news release.

“As we improve sustainability across our operations, we are looking for the most efficient, cost-effective solutions,” said Scott Shehadey, president of Producers Dairy. “AMPLY Power’s holistic approach to charging infrastructure and management will help us for years to come as we continue to scale our EV fleet.”

This project is part of an existing collaboration between AMPLY and Volvo Trucks North America to support the deployment of battery-electric Class 8 heavy-duty trucks.

“Equipping the food and beverage sector with electric fleets has the potential to decrease carbon emissions significantly,” said Vic Shao, CEO of AMPLY Power. “We are thrilled to work with Producers Dairy to make this process simple and attainable as they set the example for sustainable transportation in their industry.”
