A popular Sanger brewing company will be opening a new location in Old Town Clovis.
House of Pendragon Brewing Co. announced on Saturday that the Old Town Clovis location will serve as a restaurant and tap room.
Tommy Caprelian, the owner of House of Pendragon, announced on Instagram what customers can expect on the food side.
“Expect delicious options like brisket fries, tacos, quesadillas, tri-tip salads, sandwiches, and much more,” he wrote. “We’ll start with a basic menu and add weekly specials and creative dishes from our kitchen team.”
Caprelian said that changes in the industry were a factor in making this location a restaurant.
“The industry has kind of changed to the point where people want more than just a tasting room,” Caprelian said. “They want the full experience. They want to come in and have a couple of beers, but they also want to sit down and have some food.”
“It’s no secret that if you eat, you stay longer, and you probably spend more money, which is a huge thing,” he added. “So it’s just more of a thing for us to give our customers a full experience now.”
The address is 760 Pollasky Ave., which The Craft House formerly occupied.
“We’re thrilled that the House of Pendragon is making a move into Old Town Clovis,” said Chad McCollum, Clovis economic development, housing and communication director, said. “They’re very community-focused.”
This isn’t the first time House of Pendragon has operated in Clovis. From 2014-2022, it was located on Willow and Nees avenues. After closing that location, a tap room at the Loma Vista Marketplace at Shaw and Leonard avenues was considered, but ultimately didn’t pencil out.
An eatery in Downtown Fresno that was born from a partnership with another restaurant operation closed in 2019.
Due to its popularity, Caprelian said they wanted to get back to Clovis “as fast as possible.”
One of the most notable changes is the increased selection. The original taproom had 16 taps, while the new location will have 20-24.
Caprelian said he is working on the new location every day and hopes to open it by early March.
