With a coffee in hand, RPM PR CEO/Founder Rae Pardini Matson ignites dialogue with individuals on how they navigate the daily grind on her podcast, Coffee Monday.
Coffee Monday introduces listeners to working professionals primarily based in the Valley on how they manage their work-life balance. Through these conversations, individuals can be inspired, motivated and entertained by shared stories.
In addition to the audio content, Coffee Monday is also filmed. In the podcast’s first few episodes, viewers can see Dutch Bros coffee cups as the staple. Dutch Bros Coffee Fresno is a proud podcast partner. Pardini Matson said the local owners are very active and generous in the community.
While living in Los Angeles, Pardini Matson gained experience in media and public relations with Sony Pictures, People Magazine and more. Her experience led her to create her own business in the Central Valley.
“I feel passionate about sharing cool stories of people doing big things in our Valley, and while I can do that with my work as a publicist for our clients, this also gives me a channel to share these stories, be creative and have fun doing it,” said Pardini Matson.
Coffee Monday has featured Jessika Medina, owner of La Dama Salon; Madi Prettyman of Choose Your Glow; Major League All-Star turned ‘Car Guy’ CJ Wilson; and Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer.
Pardini Matson tries to find guests doing big things from a diverse range of professions and backgrounds.
“I know most of these guests personally and have worked with them professionally as well, so it’s been an honor being able to share their stories. They’re all very different and bring so much value and creativity to the Valley,” said Pardini Matson.
There were several steps in starting the podcast, from branding to purchasing equipment. It’s all done in-house at RPM’s headquarters.
The name Coffee Monday came from a social media series RPM PR started a few years ago where team members shared happened on their weekends and discussed trending topics. After having fun with the weekly series and her love for coffee, they have since then worked to brand “Coffee Monday” to be a staple for the week — like Taco Tuesday or Sunday Funday.
Pardini Matson hopes this podcast will support the community in sharing motivational stories of locals and inspiring listeners that they too can do big things.
“Fresno is a prime place for opportunity — to start a business venture or passion project — and my goal is to elevate the image of Fresno by highlighting these gems,” Pardini Matson said. “I hope to continue to share fun stories, educate our listeners and continue to have fun with it.”
The podcasts can be streamed on all platforms – Apple, Spotify and more. Video of the podcasts can be viewed on RPM’s YouTube channel, @rpmpr.
