Popular fried-chicken restaurant Raising Cane’s will open its second Fresno location on Tuesday, bringing the popular restaurant chain closer to residents near the fast-growing El Paseo shopping center near Herndon Avenue and Highway 99.

Tuesday’s grand opening begins at 9 a.m. and will feature a “Lucky 20” drawing to award 20 customers free Cane’s for a year.

The first 100 customers to purchase a combo meal will also receive a commemorative hat and free box combo card, good for a free box combo on a return visit.

In addition to the giveaways, the grand opening will also feature a live DJ and Fresno State mascot, Timeout, and the Fresno State Dance Team, as well as a check presentation to the Central California Food Bank, and to Reading Heart in support of literacy efforts in the nearby Central Unified School District.

“We’re excited to continue spreading our ONE LOVE across Central California!” said Taylor Day, Raising Cane’s area leader of restaurants. “We’re committed to making a difference in the local community, and we can’t wait to serve our craveable Chicken Finger meals to everyone in Fresno.”

Raising Cane’s second Fresno store is located at 6791 N. Weber Ave. in the El Paseo Shopping Center.

Raising Cane’s plans to open its third Fresno store in Southeast Fresno later this summer.
