1st Commercial Realty Group is hiring property managers for its new Fresno office.

After seeing the growth of real estate in the Central Valley, a national property management brand is expanding to the area with a physical office in Fresno.

1st Commercial Realty secured office space this month at 516 W. Shaw Ave., Ste. 200.

The property management company began in the 1980s in Rancho Cucamonga, according to Mike Polley president of 1st Commercial.

The firm currently manages about 3 million square feet of property from Lancaster to Sacramento, mainly industrial with spaces 100,000 square feet or larger. The firm is in the process of hiring for five to 10 positions Polley hopes to have at the office.

Polley says he limits the clientele for 1st Commercial to strictly family businesses. He prefers clients with a “personal interest” in their investments to real estate investment trusts or pension funds.

It was a Colorado family whose investment portfolio took his company out of Rancho Cucamonga and throughout the West Coast, expanding to Sacramento, north Fresno and Washington. They now have a presence in seven states.

Brett Visintainer, principal with The Visintainer Group, is a partner in the Fresno operation.

Polley said in the current market cycle, it’s important for brokers and property managers to stay ahead for their clients.

“Whether we’re going into a soft landing or a big correction, we’re going into new uncharted territories,” Polley said.
