Brand New Day, a Medicare Advantage health plan, has opened a new office in Fresno to accommodate the growing number of members. The program launched late last year and now ranks as the company’s fastest-growing region in California.

According to Jay B. Davis, executive vice president, Brand New Day allows Medicare-eligible beneficiaries to gain access to programs and services beyond original Medicare. Many Brand New Day plans are available at no-cost premiums and co-payments for primary care doctor visits. The plan covers unlimited transportation to and from medical appointments; vision, dental and acupuncture services; a 24/hour nurse line and health and life coaches.

Among the physician groups in Fresno contracting with Brand New Day are Santé Community Physician IPA Medical Group, Kova Healthcare and La Salle Medical Associates.

“The residents of Fresno have enthusiastically embraced Brand New Day ever since we introduced the program here,” Davis said. “Much of our success is due to our partnerships with some of the region’s most desirable medical groups, which allows members to select from a large network of physicians while enjoying additional benefits offered by Brand New Day.”

Davis said the company representatives are on hand to help those on Medicare and their families navigate the health care system.

The new Fresno office is located at 8050 N. Palm Ave., Ste. 328 and can be reached at 1-866-255-4795 and 1-866-321-5955 for the hearing impaired.

Brand New Day is the Medicare product name of Universal Care, Inc., a privately held California Knox-Keene Healthcare Service Plan licensed by the California Department of Managed Health Care and contracted with the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services as a Medicare Advantage Contractor.
