Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer is joining 13 other California mayors Wednesday for the inaugural C13 summit to address the state’s most urgent challenges.
The Big City Mayor Coalition, a bipartisan group representing more than 11 million California residents, is meeting in San Francisco to advance a united vision to tackle homelessness, housing and economic development in the Golden State, according to a news release.
Participants of the C13 include:
Riverside Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson, Chair of Big City Mayors
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass
San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria
San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie
San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan
Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer
Sacramento Mayor Kevin McCarty
Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson
Oakland Mayor Barbare Lee
Irvine Mayor Larry Agran
According to the release, the vision will serve as a roadmap for potential collaboration with the Gov. Gavin Newsom and California Legislature to take decisive action and deliver results.
The coalition is calling for bold, result-driven solutions to meet the pressing needs of their communities.
A news conference will be held on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the San Francisco City Hall.
