Maddy Institute taking fellowship applications

Applications are now being accepted for the Maddy Institute’s Wonderful Public Service Fellowship for Fall 2016. 

This year’s program has $56,000 available exclusively for students in the San Joaquin Valley. 

The fellowship aims to foster the next generation of Valley bipartisan leaders and problem solvers by helping San Joaquin Valley students obtain their graduate degree from top programs and return home to apply what they’ve learned, according to a statement from the institute.

The fellowship is designed to attract students who have continued their graduate studies at top universities in one of the follow areas:

• public administration

• public policy

• urban planning 

Applications are due Feb. 26 and interviews will be conducted in March. Fellowship winners will be announced April 15.
