Clovis’s newest eatery, La Kebrada Mexican Restaurant, celebrated a ribbon cutting today with help from the Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation.

It is the second location of La Kebrada for owners Esteban and Floricel Nava. Founded in 2010, La Kebrada touts its authentic Mexican cuisine with dishes including fajitas, pechuga de pollo and homemade chile verde.

The new restaurant is located at 1175 N. Fowler Ave., Suite 105, near Fowler and Nees avenues.

The original restaurant in Fresno is located at 1042 N. Marks Ave. off of Belmont Avenue.

Esteban Nava is a native of Acapulco, Mexico, where he worked in some of the finest tourist restaurants. His wife Foricel manages the business.

La Kebrada, “the break” in English, takes its name from a famous diving cliff in Acapulco popular with tourists.
