The Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery held its grand opening ceremony Monday at its location in Fresno on Shaw Avenue, right next to the Ramada by Wyndham hotel.
The Fresno Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening with a ribbon cutting, with chamber ambassadors and Tilted Kilt employees present to kick-off the grand opening.
The Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery opened at 10 a.m. to allow early access to members of Fresno’s Chamber of Commerce and local media, and opened its doors to all customers at 11 a.m.
“We wanted to bring something unique, something not in the market, and fresh,” said Mihir Dave, president of the Fresno Tilted Kilt franchise. “I think Fresno people are really friendly and accepting of new things, and I think they’ll welcome us.”
The restaurant and pub covers approximately 5,000 square feet, has dozens of televisions for sports, and more than 70 drinks on tap, including beer, wine, and liquor.
Its menu includes typical pub foods such as hamburgers, sandwiches, soups and salads, and entrees that include steak, chicken and fish.
“We have a fabulous team — everyone from our bar backs to bussers to servers, to cooks, ownership, management, and we really appreciate the support for us and hope to make everyone in the city proud,” said Audra Henschen, director of operations for Tilted Kilt Fresno.
The Tilted Kilt will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
