The SBA’s Fresno District Office is planning to forge a strategic alliance with the Fresno Workforce Investment Board and Fresno Metro Ministry to support small business owners.

Next week the three groups will sign two-year memorandums in order to collaborate on training entrepreneurs, providing information on each other’s services and supporting the development of new businesses and jobs in Fresno County.

“The Fresno Workforce Investment Board serves as a catalyst to mobilize and integrate all private and public partners to fulfill the needs of employers in Fresno County,” said WIB Executive Director Blake Konczal. “Our new alliance with SBA will allow us to provide additional assistance to small business owners in Fresno County.”

Fresno Metro Ministry is leading the Better Blackstone Association, which is committed to the revitalization of the Blackstone Avenue corridor, including the development of new businesses.

“We look forward to working with SBA to help entrepreneurs interested in investing along Blackstone Avenue,” said Fresno Metro Ministry Executive Director Keith Bergthold.
