Fresno’s CIO Solutions, a computer consulting and network management company, announced it has acquired a Southern California-based firm.

Compass Consulting in Ventura County is an IT consulting and managed services firm, providing cloud solutions, managed IT services and software development.

With this acquisition, CIO Solutions will be able to further expand its central coast presence, according to a news release.

“This acquisition will enhance and expand the company’s services,” said CIO Solutions CEO Eric Egolf. “The alignment of our two companies, which share similar values, will provide current and future clients in Fresno and elsewhere with more security solutions, cloud solutions, more co-managed IT options for customers with internal IT departments, and more growth opportunities for existing Compass employees, who will stay in their current location in Ventura. This acquisition and expansion will also lead to more job opportunities down the road.”

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Compass Consulting’s name will initially change to Compass Consulting Powered by CIO Solutions, with everything eventually converging under the CIO Solutions name.

CIO Solutions has offices in Fresno, San Luis Obispo and Goleta.

Compass Consulting’s current CEO Darin Selfridge will transition into the position of virtual chief information officer.

“We are looking forward to becoming part of CIO Solutions — an industry leader with local roots that has a wider breadth and depth of capabilities to meet our customers’ needs. It’s a win-win for everyone — our company, their company, all our clients, and Ventura County as a whole,” Selfridge said.

There are no current plans to increase monthly pricing or rates.

CIO Solutions was founded in 1986 and employs 92 people who serve more than 2,250 clients from Fresno to Paso Robles down the coast to Los Angeles, along with national and global clients.

This acquisition will bring the employee count to 100.
