Fresno City College’s student-run newspaper, The Rampage, took home 15 awards Monday from the JACC (Journalism Association of Community Colleges) convention in Sacramento.

The paper won 10 awards for its entries in several categories and five awards as part of an on-the-spot competition.

The awards are as follows:
General Excellence- Magazine
First place- Editorial Cartoon, Frank Lopez
First place- Sports Photo, Larry Valenzuela
Second place- Video Journalism, George Garnica
Third place- News Writing, Cresencio Rodriguez Delgado
Third place- Feature Writing, Cresencio Rodriguez Delgado
Third place- Feature Writing Profiles, Ashleigh Panoo
Third place- Front page design, Rampage staff
Honorary mention- Video Journalism, Cresencio Rodriguez Delgado
Honorary mention- Magazine Illustration, Ram Reyes
Fourth place- Critical interview, Frank Lopez
Honorable mention- Feature Writing, Ashleigh Panoo
Honorable mention- Copy Editing, Ashleigh Panoo
Honorable mention- News Photo, Ram Reyes
Honorable mention- Video Journalism, Larry Valenzuela, Julease Graham, Samantha Domingo and Frank Lopez

Ashleigh Panoo, the Rampage editor-in-chief, also won a $250 scholarship.
